These are the guidelines of submitting
a photo to our contest. If your picture wasn't selected, it probably was because it didn't
meet one of the below requirements.
How do I submit my photo?
- PLEASE read all the contest requirements before submitting
your picture!
- Send your photo as an email attachment to the addresses below.
This means you must have your photo on disk, or you might have already
scanned your photo onto your hard drive.
- We can NOT go to a URL to get your
photo.
Do you have any requirements for picture content?
- The child must be between the ages of 0-23 months in the photo
to participate in the cutest baby photo contest.
- The child must be between the ages of 2 to 6 years in
the photo for the cutest kids photo contest.
- Please include the first AND last name of the child
- We go by the age of the child when the photo was taken, so if
your child was 18 months in the photo, but is now 3, you would submit your photo to the
baby contest.
- We ask that you not submit a run of the mill
studio shot. Yes, some are very nice, but by now we have all seen the backdrops and
poses that the various studios use! We ask that if you want to have your child
featured in the contest, it be a non-professional picture.
- Please, please, try to keep the file size under 50K.
Anything over this size simply may not be considered. You can use simple photo editing software to
make digital photos smaller in file size. We are getting HUGE 1MB files that bog up our mail servers and we
just do not have the time to edit everyone's photos for them. The ideal size image is 125 pixels
by 125 pixels.
- We also ask that submit pictures of ONLY children (leave mom
and dad or Grandma out of the shot. We are unable to crop every
picture.)
- Please, only submit a picture with ONE child in it.
- And last but not least, please only send ONE picture!
If you send more than one we'll simply pick the first one we get, and delete the
others. We aren't able to pick and choose 1 picture out of 5 submitted for each
child. Pick YOUR favorite! Then you can submit again next month.
How long will it take before my picture is shown?
- We receive a huge volume of pictures weekly, and you will be
notified when we select yours for the contest. Due to this, it may be a while before
your picture is shown! We feature them in the order they are received, so give it
some time! You won't miss it, since we send you an email letting you know when your
photo is up!
- We will NOT email you letting you know we got your picture, so
please don't ask :-)
How does the contest work?
Users will vote on their favorite photos each month and a page showing the
voting results and popularity will be displayed on the web site.
